Breaking In - a how to. Tips and tricks from working veterans in the game industry on how to get attention to either get into the business, or transition from your current job into the games space.

Getting There: Why Starting Your Career in Casual Instead of AAA Isn't the End of the World, and Why You Should Be Trying To Do It
Artist/Designer Jenna Leder takes a look at the Northeastern game development scene and discusses how industry newcomers can kick-start their futures with work on casual and independent games, the benefits it provides to a career in hardcore gaming, and local resources available to both newbies and veterans.

What makes a great game? This session will seek to identify the aesthetics found in great games and look at examples of high quality of games currently on the market and outline some of the core principles used in their game designs.

Finding the Right College for Game Design
A spirited presentation on the unique approach and philosophy that regional colleges are using to teach game design and development. The panel will look at how gaming is taught and talk about about the focus of computer science, computer engineering, graphic arts and business.
