PLAY SOME GAMES AND HELP US HELP OTHERS IN NEED
As part of our Gamers for Community outreach program, America's Video Game Expo charities would like you to participate in the First Annual VGXPO Collegiate Tournament. Each school is eligible to submit 4 players, 2 each for: Madden 10 (the PS3 version is played at VGXPO, any version can be used) and Smash Brothers (Wii). These players will be determined based on a school-sponsored tournament to be held on campus. At the tournaments, VGXPO asks that attendees and competitors bring a donation for one of our sponsored charities, Philabundance or The Free Library of Philadelphia. Philabundance accepts non-perishable food items and specifically requests tuna cans, mac and cheese, or jars of peanut butter or jelly. The Free Library of Philadelphia is accepting used Wii and Gamecube video games and game systems.
The winners of the tournament receive free passes to the VGXPO as well as a chance to be crowned the best college gamers in Philadelphia. All students, faculty and friends of the participating school receive a 25% discount code to attend the convention. A representative from VGXPO will be on hand for all tournaments. Competitors are encouraged to bring their own controllers.
If you are interested in hosting a qualifying tournament at your school, please contact michelle.brenner@vgxpo.com.
