A NOTE FROM ED FLEMING, FOUNDER OF VGXPO

The week of May 25, I announced a partnership to expand Video Game Expo through a marketing and sales alliance with two television broadcast partners (see press release below). VGXPO signed a long term television partnership with both CBS and The CW. The agreement is designed to promote VGXPO, as well as provide exhibitors and sponsors with the opportunity to purchase low cost, highly cost effective, television advertising.

This year VGXPO will be marketing through a number of national media platforms including, print, online, TV and radio. If you thought VGXPO had a lot of local TV exposure in '08, you haven't seen anything. For 2009 my team is planning our largest marketing blitz yet. With a direct partnership with both the CBS and CW stations in Philadelphia, as well as TV advertising in New York and Baltimore, the entire east coast is going to know about VGXPO.

VGXPO's history speaks for itself - as the pioneer in video game event/TV marketing programs VGXPO provides you and your company measurable results. What's amazing about VGXPO is that it can provide even the smallest company with a booth and TV exposure for as little as a few thousand dollars. And VGXPO can deliver more as well - if your company wanted to develop a large scale, multi-city media package, my team can deliver that too.

I developed VGXPO for gaming fans to have a place to come together to celebrate everything they love about the games they play. We started VGXPO with very humble origins and have grown it into a pretty important event. Over the year's I've learned a lot about what makes these types of event work - more then anything its delivering the best possible experience for gamers and providing our exhibitors with measurable results.

One of the things that make us different form corporate groups that run events, is that I make sure that my event team is actively participating in the event. Unlike other shows, my guys are on the show floor interacting with exhibitors and fans. We're participating in the show and asking folks about their experiences.

Year-after-year, the number one comment that gamers tell me is to make sure that we invite company A, company B and company C to the expo the next year. Last year 24,674 fans asked me to ask you to come to VGXPO. I hope you consider their offer.

2009 marks the fifth anniversary of Video Game Expo and promises to deliver its attendees and exhibitors with an amazing experience. For small exhibitors (with revenues under $250,000), we continue to offer the VGXPO Market Place. Located on the exhibit floor, the Market Place is built for companies who wish to be part of consumer videogame events, but who otherwise would be left out because of costs.

Unique in the videogame event industry, only VGXPO provides affordable marketing tools for the smaller companies in the games and pop culture industries. Market Place prices start at $1250!

RETRO CON: FOR 'MOM AND POP' ORGANIZATIONS

VGXPO offers single table sales in the Retro Con classic gaming area at VGXPO. Retro Con's exhibit area is for every-day folks and very small organizations that sell pre-owned & retro games, comic books, toys, scifi/fantasy collectables, anime, card & table top games and other pop culture items. Prices range between $200 and $500 and include at least one table (no drape), one chair, and an expo passes.

Set up like the Artist Alley's at Comic Con and Wizard World or Comic Con, this area is located along side of the main exhibit hall. VGXPO will dedicate at least 5,000 sq. ft to Retro Con exhibitors.
